Everything You Need to Know about the 'Teen Wolf Revival Movie

The characters will reunite for a revival movie four years after Teen Wolf was last seen on MTV.

Although it took several years to bring the story back to life, creator Jeff Davis had plans to return the Teen Wolf universe after its 2017 finale.

"That was very precise. "That was very specific. I didn't want an ending where all the children have children and everyone is happy and at home. It felt anticlimactic.

The movie follows the series from 2011 to 2017. It picks up following the season finale in which Scott McCall ( Tyler Posey ) and his friends completed their mission to save Beacon Hills.

"A full moon rises over Beacon Hills and with it, a terrifying evil has appeared," the press release stated. "The wolves howl once more, calling for the return Banshees and Werecoyotes Hellhounds, Kitsunes and all other shapeshifters in the night," the film's press release stated. Scott McCall is no longer a teenager, but he's still an Alpha. He can find new friends and allies to help them fight the enemy that could be their most dangerous and deadly foe.

Posey, has been advocating for Teen Wolf's revival in some way for many years . He revealed that he was "excited" to reprise the role of Teen Wolf a few years later.

"I think the thing I am most excited about is seeing them grow up. We were high school students for 10 years," an Scream alum joked to EW about October 2021. "I'm thrilled to see them grow up and leave high school. High school was a very distinctive character on the show. I am excited to see what it will be like without high school. It's going to be fascinating.

The MTV series left such an impression on the musician because of the characters who joined the audience for each adventure.

"The relationships between my character and Dylan O'Brien's, Stiles, were what really made the show stand out. This to me was what truly carried the show and made people fall in love," Posey said at the time. We had a lot more fun with the supernatural, romantic, and horror elements. As long as there is a great relationship between us, whether it be romantic or friends, everything else will fall into place.

It will be aired on a new network

Paramount+ will premiere the film in 2022.

Who is Coming Back?

Paramount+ confirmed in February 2022 that Posey would join Holland Roden (Allison Argent), Crystal Reed (Allison Argent), Shelley Hennig, Shelley Hennig, Mali Tate, Orny Adams, Coach Bobby Finstock, Linden Ashby, Sheriff Noah Stilinski, and JR Bourne, (Chris Argent).

Colton Haynes (Jackson Whittemore), Ryan Kelley, Deputy Jordan Parrish, Melissa Ponzio and Dylan Sprayberry are also set to return.

O'Brien (Stiles Stilinski), Ardencho (Kira Yukimura), and Tyler Hoechlin (Derek Hale), are not attached to this project.

Possible Surprise Appearances

Bohen spoke out to TVLine about his hope for Derek's and Peter's return in a March 2022 interview.

He said that he and his wife would love to do the same thing together and that he could see a world where they were reunited. I know they are shooting soon so there will be a definite yea/nay. It's a positive thing. I wouldn't mind seeing a movie without Derek and Peter."
