Christine Brown's split with Kody Brown and his wives Meri Brown Janelle Brown, Robyn Brown, and by extension Robyn Brown, left viewers and the polygamous family in shock. In November 2021, TLC's personality posted via Instagram that Kody had separated from him and that he and he had made the difficult decision to part ways. We will be strong in our lives together as we support and parent our children."
They were "spiritually married" in March 1994 and have six children together: their son Paedon, and their daughters Aspyn and Mykelti, Gwyndlyn and Truely.
Christine admitted that she was unsure what would happen in her divorce. She said that it wasn't just a marriage she was leaving during the Sister Widows: One on One tell-all special in Feb 2022. It's a whole household. It's Sister Wives. What does this mean for us? "I don't know."
Christine realized that she was not selfish in her decision to leave her family. I was not present. I was not happy. It was just not working anymore."
Christine isn’t the only woman who has been struggling with her polygamous marriage. Janelle shared that she was also thinking about ending her relationship with Kody in a January 2022 episode. "I have had to really think. My children are nearly grown, so it's no longer necessary to live with them. "It was a wonderful way of raising children," she said to cameras during season 16.
Janelle said, "With Kody & I right now , our relation is pretty strained . It's not difficult to walk away, you know."
Kody and Meri also spoke out about their relationship difficulties, with Meri declaring that they are just friends and do not have an intimate or romantic relationship. He said that he was not interested in ever being in a relationship with Meri, as he is not willing to endure the emotional torture again. "I'm not trying make Meri look bad, it's just bad match."
Meri explained, for her part that even though their marriage was rocky, she felt a loyalty towards the plural family she was a member of. "It's been 31 years since we were married. I'm still committed. I have made my decision. I am still here. She said that she still believed in hope. "I feel peace when I think of staying with my family because that's what it is. It's what I believe is best for me.
It's not clear what the future holds for the sister Wives stars with so many difficult relationships and one divorce.
Filming Has Already Begun
Paedon, Christine's son was asked by TikTok whether she would still be on the show "if there is another season of sister Wives," and the Army soldier replied that production was already in progress on season 17. He wrote "They are filming now" in January 2022, perhaps hinting that cameras were still following Christine.
Christine has a new show
One cast member revealed a new venture after season 16. TLC posted via Instagram in February 2022, "A taste of something different!" "#SisterWives' Christine will be bringing you some of her favorite recipes on the new digital series #CookingWithJustChristine, dropping every Sunday [on Instagram] and on TLC.com."
Kody is "Done" with the Drama
A source revealed to Us Weekly exclusively that Kody was considering looking for new partners because of all the tension between them. According to an insider, Kody isn't happy that his wives are threatening to leave. "He is considering starting over with new wives. ... He would like to be with women who are open to the fact that Robyn is his most important and will devote all of his time to her."
Robyn and Kody Still Strong
His marriages to Meri and Janelle may be in trouble, but Robyn and Kody's love is stronger than ever. "He's spending his time with Robyn. According to Us, the others live in their own worlds and have their own lives." A source said in January 2022. He spent the holidays with Robyn, her children. He did not even attempt to make plans with the other wives. The holidays were spent with their families, and all the wives were separated.
There is tension between everyone
Kody is not the only one who is upset. Paedon stated that "Dad's relationship [had] ups with every one of us," referring to his 17 siblings in Us February 2022. He's not always the best, but he can be the best at times. He has always been a fluctuating figure, and opinions about him from others have fluctuated."
Robyn and the construction worker confessed to having a difficult relationship.
"Dad found his wife." Paedon stated that Robyn found the man she loved. "Robyn met someone who wanted to care for her children. Yes, I get stoked but not overly excited about everything. But I have no grudges about them finding love. For [her children] finding an incredible dad."
