In a statement signed on Monday night by Choguel Maïga, one of its main leaders, the M5-RFP reiterates its main requirement : the "resignation" of president Ibrahim Boubacar Keita, aka "IBK", and his regime.

The motion alleges that the economic Community of African States West (Cédéao), a mediator in the crisis, have remained so far silent on this point. Monday, while some barricades were quickly dismantled by the security forces, the diplomatic talks have continued behind the scenes.
