Mask Singer: Laurent Ruquier's cronyism with Inès Reg and low blows to Chantal Ladesou

Ahead of the broadcast of Mask Singer this Friday, secrets about the relationships between the investigators are starting to multiply. And we learn some great things...

The new season of Mask Singer is about to begin and TF1 is already promising a 2024 program full of surprises and twists. The first prime time was scheduled for this Friday, May 3, at 9:10 p.m., on the first channel. And among the new features this season, eyes are already on two new arrivals on the jury. In addition to the ever-present Kev Adams and the very popular Chantal Ladesou, who already have their napkin rings in Mask Singer, viewers will indeed discover Inès Reg and Laurent Ruquier in the panel of investigators.

And the arrival in Mask Singer of the former host of "On n'est pas couches" on France 2, rather accustomed to high-end talk shows and having just come from a news program on BFMTV, has what surprise. The one who made himself known as a comedian, before breaking into entertainment without any hassle, returns to his first love. A big fan of Mask Singer, Laurent Ruquier had already made a brief appearance behind a costume during the last season. As for Inès Reg, she arrives in Mask Singer after an eventful season as a candidate in Dancing with the Stars, marked by her altercation with Natasha St-Pier who beat her in the final. After being accused of threats, then of having been favored by the production of DALS, the comedian defended herself during her elimination of being "a TF1 product". Which does not prevent him from returning to the screen in prime time, a week after DALS, on the first channel. A fiction where she is on display would also be in preparation...

It remains to be seen how this small group of Mask Singer investigators will get along. Several clues were given in the press and in particular through interviews. And everyone seems to have come to the defense of Inès Reg after her adventures in Dancing with the Stars. This Monday, April 29, Chantal Ladesou, who had denied a few weeks ago that she had also gotten involved with the comedian, thus supported Inès Reg in Télé Star, with whom she said she had discussed the altercation with Natasha St- Pier. “There is pressure, it’s a stressful competition,” says Chantal Ladesou. "That there are tensions, that doesn't surprise me. With Inès, we talked about it, she told me that it was hard. I think that even if there are insults, we have to 'make fun of it and continue,' she says.

Another newcomer in Mask Singer 2024, Laurent Ruquier is also full of praise for Inès Reg. In addition to an affirmed friendly relationship, he recently defended his teammate against criticism and rumors in Ciné-Télé-Revue, affirming that she had been "charming all these weeks" of filming. “I can see what a girl she is,” assured Laurent Ruquier, before adding on the subject of the clash between Inès Reg and Natasha St-Pier: “It’s a bogus controversy. And then, I don’t like cabals . I always hated howling with the wolves, nothing serious happened on 'Dancing with the Stars', certainly not enough to cause a stir. like everywhere in the job, and normally, it's settled between people."

Ruquier had already shown his support for Inès Reg by inviting her to RTL's Les Grosses têtes and ensuring he was "in Team Inès". "We talk nonsense about her [...]. We had the chance to work together, side by side, in Mask Singer which will start in two weeks, we will both be seen side by side. And from time to time At some point, Inès and I held hands, it was like a new love story."

Obviously the charm did not work in the same way with all the Mask Singer investigators. Present on the set of “C à Vous” on Monday, Chantal Ladesou for her part revealed the very competitive and even perverse character of Laurent Ruquier during filming, who would have been reluctant to share his intuitions and even sent his colleague down the wrong path in Mask Singer. “I wonder if he’s a friend,” Chantal Ladesou even blurted out about this not-so-fair-play colleague that she often meets in Les Grosses têtes too. "This boy is charming. I've known him for a long time, but he disappointed me a lot..."

Let us nevertheless rest assured. We are still far in Mask Singer from the deleterious atmosphere which plagued the 2024 season of Dancing with the Stars. Chantal Ladesou obviously spoke about Laurent Ruquier in a humorous tone in a competition which should remain, we hope, good-natured this time.
