The public prosecutor reveals the latest elements of the investigation into attempted intentional homicide after the gunshot wound of Kendji Girac.
This Monday morning, BFMTV reveals that singer Kendji Girac was shot and injured during the night. Hit in the chest, he was transported to Bordeaux hospital in critical condition. His vital prognosis, initially compromised, is no longer so and the artist is "out of the woods", according to those close to him.
According to the singer's first statements, revealed by Le Parisien, it was an "accident", his bullet wound "was the consequence of poor handling of the weapon on his part. He would have received a projectile from this weapon bought the day before at a flea market." A version that the singer would have maintained during his hearing, Wednesday: for almost three hours, Kendji Girac recounted the facts, going in the direction of an "individual act, without intervention of a third party", the singer being " very alcoholic" at the time of the events.
Born in 1996, singer Kendji Girac is one of the most popular French artists of his generation. Powered by the TF1 show The Voice: The Most Beautiful Voice, of which he won season 3 in 2014, he has since become known thanks to hits like Andalouse and Je suis fou, he has published five albums in total .
Singer Kendji Girac has always been very discreet about his private life, having, until now, never revealed the identity of his wife, mother of their little daughter. The couple welcomed their first child, a little girl named Eva Alba, at the end of January 2021. This is also one of the rare occasions on which Kendji Girac had publicly mentioned the one who shares his life, on RFM on 10 February 2021: "When I saw my wife giving birth I said 'ah I'm lucky not to go through that'. It was hard. It's beautiful but it's hard" , adding that it was "difficult to be a woman."
