Found wearing socks and a t-shirt, the 25-year-old man was taken to hospital. His vital prognosis is not in jeopardy. An investigation has been opened.

A 25-year-old young man was attacked on the evening of Wednesday April 24 in the streets of Hénin-Beaumont, in Pas-de-Calais. Alerted around 9:30 p.m., the police went to the scene. The man, who had just been hit, was only wearing a t-shirt and socks, reports La Voix du Nord. According to information from franceinfo, the young man had initially agreed to a meeting with a 15-year-old girl he met on the Internet. According to La Voix du Nord, it would be the controversial dating site Cocoland, also cited in the case of Philippe's death in Grande-Synthe, which occurred around ten days ago.

Upon arriving on site, at the Hénin-Beaumont slag heap, specifies the local daily, the twenty-year-old was allegedly attacked by two individuals. Equipped with a knife and a hammer, the attackers allegedly asked the victim to undress, adds franceinfo, which indicates that one of the two individuals then punched the victim in the chest, accusing him of having made an appointment with this minor.

When law enforcement arrived on scene, the victim was transported to hospital. His vital prognosis is not in jeopardy. However, an investigation was opened for “aggravated intentional violence” and entrusted to the Lens judicial police. At La Voix du Nord, the Béthune public prosecutor's office declared that the young man "should be heard in detail this Friday", the day of Thursday having been devoted to his medical care. Concerning the attackers, "the first identification elements provided did not allow for immediate arrest", it was also specified.
