After the Champions Cup round of 16 won by Stade Toulousain a little over three weeks ago (31-7), Racing 92 and Toulouse meet again this Saturday, April 27 in the Top 14, for the 22nd day . If Toulouse, currently second in the championship, is the favorite at home for the Parisian club, the team led by Antoine Dupont and Romain Ntamack is the only French team to still be involved in the national and European tables. His coach Ugo Mola will therefore have to deal with this constraint in the coming weeks and ensure the rest of his senior players in order to achieve the objective, namely winning the Top 14 and the Champions Cup. For this, it can count on a large workforce and experience in the field. The Stade is thus aiming for a double which it only achieved in 2021 and in 1996. To achieve this, it will be able to count on its strength at home in the championship. Toulouse is in fact the last team still undefeated on its home field in the Top 14, and intends to remain so. “The idea is to remain invincible for as long as possible at home” explains François Cros.

Opposite, Racing sees the return of several important players for this championship match, and in particular its international scrum half Nolan Le Garrec. In the event of a victory on Occitan soil, Racing would get closer to its opponents in the standings, and could still believe in a direct qualification to the semi-final.
