"Well, Zach got the chance to see him before I while he held mine leg and watched him emerge," Compono, 28 years old, exclusively revealed Us Weekly details about the birth. It was incredible when he was placed on my chest and that we got to both see him. This was our adorable little life. It is truly the most amazing feeling. We are obsessed with him and have not let him go.
While pregnancy and childbirth are no easy feat, Nichols, 33, marveled at his wife's journey.
Nichols stated that Jenna's motherhood achievements have impressed her. "She made pregnancy look easy; she barely skipped a beat. It was one of the most amazing things I have ever seen and it was also the best moment in my life. If you asked me back in August 2014, if I believed that the hot blonde I met in Panama with her delicious bum would become my dad, I would have laughed at your joke. We are now with an amazing life and a beautiful baby boy. Maybe that's the best part.
The Real World alum was supposed to be intubated one day before, but instead went into labor.
Compono said, "The funny part is that I was walking around 5 [centimeters] dilate without contractions. We chose a day for him to be induced because he was already later." "We chose Thursday at 4:00 p.m. Around 5 a.m. I began having really bad cramps which I dismissed as nervous cramps. I soon discovered they were contractions, and we went to the hospital. From there I did get an epidural and we were set up in our room."
She said, "Honestly, we could have done it a lot sooner, but I was not mentally ready, so everytime they wanted to break mine, I would say no. It finally broke, and we began practice pushes. We practiced for 45 minutes because my contractions had slowed down and I couldn’t feel them due to the epidural. After I got used to it, he was free in just four pushes. It was unbelievable!"
The pair, who named their first child Anthony, also noted their struggles to pick a name at first.
She said, "We had a hard time picking a name." "Our interests in names were totally opposite." We wanted to be more traditional so we chose Anthony (both of our fathers' middle name).
She said, "We look forward to bringing Anthony home. We are just having fun being parents. Zach is very hands-on, and I can honestly tell you that I haven’t changed a diaper yet. I am continually impressed by him and it is easy to see why he chose to be a father. We are so excited to welcome Anthony, and we apologize for flooding Instagram.
A Nassau Community College alumnus also noted the parents' dreams and hopes for their baby.
Compono stated that "we just want him live life to the fullest" and to be a good person. We will support him in whatever he dreams of his life. We are proud to have brought this little angel into this world and will do all we can for him to live the best possible life.
