Monte-Carlo Masters 1000 2024: Djokovic and Monfils expected, scores and live results

The first round of the Monte-Carlo Masters 1000 continues this Tuesday with the debut of Djokovic and Monfils.

After the rain this morning, the first matches end at the master 1000 in Monte-Carlo. Seeded number 11, Alex de Minaur easily defeated tournament veteran Stan Wawrinka in straight sets 6-3 6-0. He will face the Dutchman Griekspoor in the next round. On the Princes court, the American Korda was also quick against Davidovich Fokina. The Spaniard did not see the light of day in fairly slow conditions due to humidity and lost in straight sets, 6-1 6-2.

The threat of rain remains present this afternoon on the rock, while the entries of Novak Djokovic and Gaël Monfils are expected in the third rotation of the day. Opposed to the Australian Jordan Thompson, Monfils sees a rather affordable first round while he could face Daniil Medvedev in the next round. Winner last week in Estoril for his first title on clay, the Pole Hubert Hurkacz also begins his tournament this Tuesday, against the British Draper.

The traditional clay court tour begins on the rock on April 6, 2024. The final will be played on Sunday April 14, 2024.

Created in 1897, the Monte-Carlo tournament is a historic tennis competition. Since the start of the Open Era in 1968, here is the list of tournament winners:
