Here is the new Citroën C3 Aircross and it hides a nice surprise inside

Citroën has revealed the first images of its new small SUV and delivered some surprising information.

It was eagerly awaited, especially after the latest restylings of its cousin Peugeot 2008 and rival Renault Captur, the new Citroën C3 Aircross is finally revealed with the sending to the press of the first photos and information on the SUV. This time, there is no question of a simple makeover since it is a completely new generation of the C3 Aircross, the first version of which was presented in 2017. Seven years later, it was time to make way for a generation with a more muscular design, sharper lines and curved wings.

And like its little sister Citroën C3 recently presented, the C3 Aircross goes partially electric. The biggest surprise, however, is not there but rather the dimensions of a C3 Aircross which lengthens significantly. The C3 city car having gained muscle and centimeters, the C3 Aircross is doing the same to differentiate itself: it now reaches 4.39 meters in length, which is still 23 centimeters more than the current one! It's a lot but it can also be explained by the great novelty which is hidden inside a cabin still kept secret by the Chevron brand.

The C3 Aircross will indeed offer a 7-seat configuration, a first in this segment. For this, Citroën will logically offer a longer wheelbase, the largest in its category, and confirms the installation of two retractable seats in the trunk. With what comfort? The brand assures that it will offer “good habitability to the occupants of the third row”. To be confirmed during the first tests of this new generation C3 Aircross...

The price also remains a mystery but Citroën should continue on the path of the C3 with a very attractive price compared to its French competitors. Thermal, hybrid or 100% electric, a first for this model, there will be something for everyone. The marketing date is not specified but Citroën is already warning: new information on this 2024 C3 Aircross will be “unveiled as the launch approaches before summer”.
