most senior roles in tech in the Silicon Valley area in this section, an insight into their work. In this section, Younger Leaves (37), senior director, Finance & Analytics, Americas Supply at eBay. "In my role as a leader is to distinguish what is important and what is urgent."

This story has been sent to you by the the MT.

The corporate headquarters of eBay, the global e-commercegigant and the parent company, Ebay, in San Jose, California, usa. There are working Younger Leaves since last fall, after more than ten years, and for eBay to have, at the European headquarters in Switzerland.

He leads a team of more than thirty men in the area of finance and analytics.

"Everything is for sales, inventory, prices, shipping, and any other matters covered by the team. In fact everything that is on the supply side of the market is, it belongs to us," says Green. Add approximately 14,000 people, and the company has an annual revenue of more than $ 10 billion.

and Why did you choose for the Silicon Valley.

"After more than ten years in Switzerland, I had the choice to be there for another two years, or a year, or two, to California, to go on, with the possibility of extension. It seems to me, both personally and professionally is a challenge. I have worked my entire career in a techbedrijf, so I thought it would be relevant for a while, at the headquarters of tech in the Silicon Valley area to work with."

“The perception of a sense of urgency is much greater.”
What are the main differences with the european union that you have noticed?

"Well, it's the same company, the rate is much higher. And there is a willingness to make a change to the process, or how to do something for the customer to look like. The perception of a sense of urgency is much greater."

"Something that is urgent will be seen, is measured in the number of hours we're required to have, or how many hours we need to know. In Europe, it is that it could be days or weeks. You can argue whether that's good or bad. If anything, with a lot of urgency, it is more difficult to ensure standards remain high."

How do you deal with that is a sense of urgency for your team to manage?

"I think that if you're a leader, be the role you have to have a number of processes to try and get people to help you to make a distinction between something that is important and it is something that is urgent. Something urgent and important or important but not urgent.

“Something urgent and important or important but not urgent.”

People forget that the last times of the order if they are to stay with a lot of importance to work. So, I try to give people a chance to calm down in their work. I can get to it in a positive way and to take it easy. So, what you're doing is working, and of good quality. And if something is both important and urgent it is, the quality of monitoring by the decision-making process in smaller parts and to other people."

What are the other differences that you noticed the problem?

"In Switzerland, I worked with a team of about ten people, all of them for a few years, worked there and who didn't want anywhere else to go. Their career plan was to be, for the most part of their careers in that role, or that the company will have to continue to be.

I have a reportsteam of four people, and in a year or two or three of them to talk about it, is that it is relatively stable. Your fast pass allows you to gain new insights and new skills to your team will bring."

“If one of your team members asks you what you think of it as a function of the job application, you should not be thinking, no, no, damn it, but yes, very good, again with a successful exit!”
But it will never be difficult that you often have to find new people all the time?

"You have to be a change of attitude has been the leader. If one of your team members asks you what you think of it as a function of the job application, you should not be thinking, no, no, damn it, but yes, very good, again with a successful exit!"

in Your role as a leader is then to make sure that you know if there's a client or a senior manager is away, I have three or four people in mind, either inside or outside the organization, who should be able to fill it out. You should always have a short list ready to go."

there Is something about the Dutch working culture, what are you missing?

" I'm only two years in the country, and then never again. I can't imagine that it would be nice to have the bike to go to work, but that's not really an option."
