Original Sin's first teaser video was released in September 2020. It features one message: "It is not what you think, butches."

Marlene KingAndHer iconic cast was the inspiration for her famous film"We knew we had to treat #CANON as a series and do something else," Aguirre Sacasa and Calhoon stated in a joint statement regarding the new show. "So, we're leaning towards the suspense, horror, and hopefully that it will honor the fans loved about the hit show while weaving in new, unanticipated elements.
King was not so happy for her part.
