In addition to impressive facial paralysis, this syndrome, named after the neurologist who discovered it in 1907, can also cause a rash affecting the ear or mouth. It can develop during a period of stress or reduced immune defenses.

It is estimated that this syndrome affects 5 out of 100,000 people in the United States. Treatment for Ramsey Hunt syndrome involves taking antiviral and anti-inflammatory medications, as well as facial exercises to rehabilitate the face. Healing can take several months.

For the third time since June 2022, Justin Bieber has been forced to cancel the Justice World Tour concerts due to his state of health. "Earlier this year, I went public with my battle with Ramsay Hunt Syndrome, which paralyzes part of my face. As a result of my illness, I was unable to complete the North American tour of the Justice Tour", explained in September the singer in a message posted on Instagram.

"After resting and seeing my doctors, my family and my team, I went to Europe to continue my tour.
