"And he was like John Feldmann. So we got together to do some work because I loved his music. He introduced me to John Feldmann, and the three of them wrote so many songs together.

She said, "He really complimented me, like, many of my ideas, and really understood [my vision]." They understood me as an artist.

Us confirmed that the "Sk8er Boi", songstress, and the rapper were in a relationship after he wore a neck tattoo bearing her name. A source said that they were seeing each other at the time to Us.

After her previous relationships , the Grammy nominee was first hesitant about pursuing a relationship. She was previously married to Sum 41's Deryck Wibley between 2006 and 2010, and Nickelback's Chad Kroeger between 2013 and 2015.

"Honestly, I believed in love. Then I had to go through it," the "Complicated” singer said December 2021. "Then, I got up and was able to have a new relationship in order to be f-ked over once again. I felt like I couldn't believe how many people had hurt me or mistreated me. I need to get out of relationships. I feel like I have been beaten down. It's getting to me. I must take care of myself right now."
Lavigne initially tried to make the break on her feelings for "Flames", but she later added that "So I bought my house and wasn't waiting for a man to start a new life with me." I was like, "I'm doing it for me now." "I'm the only person I can trust, and I'm alone."

The Canada native finally gave in to her blossoming relationship with Mod Sun. That also affected the production Love Sux which was released February 25, 2005.

She explained to Us that even though the album is called Love Sux it's really just about the crazy things it puts us through. However, it's lighthearted and has a sense humor through it." "Kinda just like having fun [because] it's just natural. I have learned to laugh at all the absurd things that love does. It's very tongue-in-cheek. I'm referring to . This record was made after a breakup. ... I am a woman writing from my life experience. It was fun to feel like going there.

Lavigne also praised the album's "really cool" production, noting her closeness with Feldmann, a 46-year old Blink-182 drummer from Minnesota, and Feldmann, which made songwriting a natural process.

I went in without pressure, deadlines, or people telling me which direction to go. She recalled that I was "f--k this s---t, I'm making my album I've always wanted," when I entered. I also want to have fun and just rock out right now. The album was a result of me thinking, "Let's make a pop-punk album from the front to the back." As with all my albums, they have been varied... but this song is a reminder of the style and spirit that has stayed with me throughout my entire career.

Love sux is Lavigne's debut album, which she recorded with DTA Records. It is now available everywhere music can be purchased and on all major streaming services.
