The Wimbledon tournament has announced that Russian and Belarusian players will not be invited to England this year. In retaliation, the ATP and WTA said they would not award points to reward participants' performances. In the midst of this standoff which is fracturing the world of the little yellow ball, Daniil Medvedev, confided that he was ready to go play on the London lawn, even if it brought him nothing in view of the world ranking: "If I can play Wimbledon, I'll be happy to be there, even without points. If it's with points, fine, I'll be over there trying to earn points. If I can't play, I will stay at home, train a lot, improve for future tournaments. That's about all I can say today."
