With five tries scored, the Bordelais mastered a revamped ASM team and won for the first time of the year with the bonus, 41 to 7. UBB returned to 5th in the Top 14, while ASM slipped in 1st place.
The leading Stade Français was (very) scared on Saturday at home against Aviron Bayonnais. After being up to 17 points behind, they finally won at the siren 28 to 24, inflicting a 21-0 on the Basques. In the fight for qualifying places for the final stages, Pau can continue to believe in it, with its victory against Montpellier associated with the defeat of La Rochelle on the lawn of Castres. Finally, Racing remains placed, third in the championship with an easy victory against the red lantern Oyonnax (43-13).
In the weekend clash between the RCT and Stade Toulousain, advantage for the Varois, who hosted Toulouse at home in the Vélodrome stadium (20-19). Yet reduced to 14 in the 39th minute, Toulon showed its ability to hold on and string together a third consecutive victory. However, it should be noted that the Stade Toulousain team was largely overhauled (none of the starters in the European Cup quarter-final started in Marseille) against the Toulonnais who had put the typical team on the scoresheet.
