Reiseselskapet Thomas Cook turns to bankruptcy

Around 9000 Norwegian customers are on holiday with Winger at the moment. The vast majority of them would fly home with the company's own aircraft, and are now waiting for information about what to do.

Wing announces on its website in the afternoon that they work with to inform the traveller:

"Vinggruppen in the Nordic countries are now working intensely to inform all affected parties of the Thomas Cook Group's bankruptcy. We will inform those who will be traveling the next few days as soon as we know more. Those who will be traveling at a later time, will also getting information, but we give priority to resolve the situation to them that is in place at destinations, and those with imminent departure, first."

Only Monday affected 6000 nordic traveller of the bankruptcy. 457 of them are travelers with Service to and from Norway.

Winger-lead was Monday morning an emergency meeting, and has announced a press conference with more information in the course of the day.

Thomas Cook negotiated Sunday in London with the creditors in hopes to get to a solution. The negotiations stranded by 3-time the night of Monday, and the company let down the business with immediate effect.
