Wolfgang Seibert was asked to be the Chairman of the Jewish community of Pinneberg, a Board member of the Schleswig-Holstein landesverband of the Jewish reform communities and to questions of Judaism and xenophobia, much in the Public eye. Now he resigns because of allegations of fraud.
Both sides had agreed according to the Association, by mutual agreement on a withdrawal, harm to the Jewish community to avert, it was called the North German broadcasting (NDR). Seibert not commented since the allegations. His lawyer Alexander Hoffmann stated that Seibert had been coated in some public presentations, and wanted to apologize for that. According to the NDR Hoffmann also stated that Seibert did not-I had a biological Jewish parents, but Jewish foster parents.
Seibert belonged in 2002 to the founders of the Jewish community in Pinneberg, since 2003, he was its Chairman. With about 250 members, one of the two largest of the six reform congregations in Schleswig-Holstein. Seibert was also a member of the Board of Directors of the national Association for the reform of the municipalities and represented the Association well, until Recently, the Central Council of Jews in Germany.
